Draft for launch. This text is being reviewed by a lawyer and may change. Last updated 2 November 2026.
The service
Herohood designs personalised children's storybooks. You reserve a spot, pay when payments open, receive hero mockups, approve one, and then receive the finished story as a PDF and optionally a printed book.
Who may order
You must be 18 or over. You confirm either that you are the child's parent or legal guardian, or that you are ordering a gift and the child's parent or guardian knows about the book and agrees. The adult declaration on this site is a declaration, not proof of age, and we may ask for more evidence. We may refuse or cancel an order if we doubt it.
Reservations and prices
Reserving is free and does not commit you or us. We show the exact price before you pay. Mockups are shared only after payment.
Images
We do not currently accept photo uploads. If we add them, you may upload only a clear, ordinary photo of the child, fully clothed, that you have the right to share. We do not accept nude, sexual, obscene, violent or otherwise unlawful images. If one is uploaded, we will reject it, cancel the order without a refund of any fee for that order, keep the file and upload record, and may report it to the police or other authorities.
Mockups, changes and approval
You receive 3 to 5 hero mockups and one round of changes. You approve one before story work starts. Approval is final for that hero's look.
How the books are made
Illustrations are created with computer-assisted tools on our own systems and checked by a person. Copyright protection for digitally created artwork differs from country to country, so we cannot promise registration rights everywhere.
Your rights in the finished book
You may keep, print and share the book for personal and family use. You may not sell it or use it commercially. We keep the right to show our own sample books, but never your child's book or likeness without your separate written permission.
Delivery
We confirm delivery times before you pay. Delays caused by late approvals or missing information are not our fault.
Limits
We do our best to match your description, but a mockup is an illustration and not a portrait. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the order.
Law
Indian law applies and the courts of Bengaluru have jurisdiction, subject to any rights you have under the law of your country.
